Synox partner of Métropolisme, the festival on the city of tomorrow at Tropisme Hall

From September 27th to October 13th, visit the Halle Tropisme in Montpellier to discover the modern city from multiple angles.

Through exhibitions, experiments, conferences… the festival aims to explain how the city will be transformed, particularly to cope with climate change, but also how it integrates and will integrate technology.

Intelligent City Demonstrator: “Capturing the city live

Partner for several years of Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole for the smart city project, we participate in the creation of the installation “Capture the city live” of the festival. The aim of this installation will be to prove that digital technology is a lever for transforming cities and, above all, to explain how this is concretely implemented in Montpellier.

By visiting the Tropisme Hall, you will discover some of the innovative uses already deployed in the city: smart parking, energy management in buildings, traffic management, public lighting, air quality measurement, flood monitoring, etc. All these projects are made possible by the network of connected devices (private LoRa network) created by SYNOX, through which all the data passes and is then aggregated and used by the city.
Thus, as part of Métropolisme, a real-time experiment will be proposed on the visualization of environmental data: air quality, temperature, and humidity in order to show how data is created, transmitted, managed and then processed. In the Tropisme Hall, you will find some sensors that you can scan with the Métropolisme app to activate them and then follow the evolution of the air quality data in real time.

Interact in real time with the Metropolis app

For the festival, Synox has developed a mobile application to help you discover Montpellier’s Smart City project in a fun way, but it will also allow you to access the entire program. The app will guide you through your visit to the Hall and provide you with additional information when you enter certain areas. You will also have the opportunity to give your opinion on the round tables in which you will participate.
This app will give you an enhanced experience of the festival!

It is available on the App Storefor iOS and on Google Play for Android.
