They trust us
How was the Alerte association able to optimize its processes and increase its service quality with the Synox’s solutions?
Alerte is an association that provides its subscribers with a complete remote assistance solution: from the installation of the box to the follow-up and comfort calls. Subscribers are equipped with an alert system that they activate in case of a problem (medallion, watch, etc.) wherever they are in their home, without having to pick up their phone.
The context
These equipments communicate with the remote assistance box which directly warns the listening center of the Association Alerte. According to the need expressed, the person in charge of the listening will send the appropriate help (family and/or professional interveners, firemen, SAMU, SOS Doctor).
The functioning of the association remains regional even if some offers can be extended to the whole French territory.
The objective is to offer a local service and to favour social relations: depending on their choice, regular activities are offered to subscribers such as boat trips, museums, reading, chocolate, etc.
And throughout the year, subscribers can receive comfort calls. Thus, beyond its rescue service, the association brings a real presence to its subscribers.

Covid-19 news
The stress felt by the subscribers during this period of epidemic is fortunately relieved by the benevolent support of the association which has all the necessary tools. Indeed, the teams of Association Alerte and Synox implement all their skills remotely to maintain the quality of the service provided.
The chosen technical solution
There are various manufacturers of telecare devices and solutions that provide a safe and reliable way to communicate. Today, depending on the telephone subscription, several teleassistance offers are proposed: it can go through the subscriber’s telephone line and/or through the cellular network in case of non-unbundled zone or in case of back up.
To ensure a flawless communication, the boxes proposed by the Alert Association are equipped with a SIM card called M2M multi-operator. These SIM cards provided by Synox are specific to the communication between machines and guarantee a continuity of service thanks to their ability to connect to different 2G/3G/4G networks.
For more than 10 years now, Association Alerte has been using Synox SIM cards to ensure secure communication of its remote assistance units.
Once the volume of data required for the use of a remote assistance unit has been determined, all that remains is to order the SIM cards from the Synox SoM2M platform.
In our sector, good communication is a critical point since our service is linked to people. We chose Synox because when we need technical support, we get a diagnosis and a solution very quickly.

From this platform, it is possible to manage the entire SIM card fleet: check connectivity, network attachment, data consumption etc. It also allows for an initial diagnosis in the event that a card is not communicated. The client remains autonomous to perform the first actions such as network detachment for example. And in the event that the problem is more serious, Synox’s technical support team intervenes quickly to restore communication.
A turning point
The teleassistive profession is currently facing a dimensional change since the PSTN will soon no longer be available to ensure the communication of the teleassistance boxes. Indeed, the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) is the historical telephone network maintained by Orange (formerly France Telecom). This technology, which is at the end of its life and expensive to maintain, no longer supports new communication methods, and will therefore be gradually stopped and replaced.
The cellular network therefore takes on its full importance as well as the operation of M2M lines dedicated to critical uses such as remote assistance. Synox supports the Alert association in this transformation to provide quality communication for the well-being and safety of subscribers.
The DNA of the Association Alerte is clearly focused on the social character of our actions. We do everything possible to make our subscribers feel good, including personalized gifts for centenarians, for example.
